Mapping Bird Migration

Migratory bird populations face rapid declines due to many interacting factors including light pollution, climate change, and habitat loss and degradation. A study by DSI Affiliated Faculty, Jeff Buler, is using weather radar data to map the nocturnal habits of migratory bird populations and define a new metric that may redefine land management along migratory routes.
